Description

This delightful DIY gift box provides a premium dry foundation for creating a dozen soft and chewy mini cookies. By layering high-quality flour, sugars, and vibrant chocolate candies, you offer the recipient a thoughtful way to enjoy home-baked treats with ease.

Ingredients

  • 275 g Plain Flour
  • 175 g Light Brown Soft Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 150 g Chocolate Chips
  • 150 g M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean and dry a 750ml mason jar or food-safe treat bag to prevent the ingredients from clumping.
  2. Pour the light brown soft sugar into the bottom and press it down firmly with a spoon to create a solid, even layer.
  3. Whisk the flour, cornflour, baking powder, and sea salt together in a separate bowl until combined.
  4. Gently spoon the flour mixture over the sugar layer, pressing it down slightly to ensure the toppings don’t sink.
  5. Add the chocolate chips in a clean layer, then top with the M&Ms, filling the jar to the brim to prevent shifting.
  6. Seal the vessel and attach a label with instructions to add 125g of room temperature butter and 1 egg, baking at 180ºC (350ºF) for 11-13 minutes.

Notes

To keep the layers distinct and professional, use a funnel to pour in the finer ingredients and wipe the inside of the jar if any flour dust sticks to the glass. Ensure the recipient knows to cream the butter properly for the best results when they are ready to bake.
